Answers to common questions, product guides, and helpful documentation.
Communicating with your designer
All designer communication happens inside the ManyPixels app. Each request has its own Messages tab where you and your designer exchange updates, questions, and files.
How to reach your designer
- Messages tab on each request. This is where day-to-day communication happens. Files shared here attach to the request automatically.
- In-app notifications. You'll get notified when your designer responds, delivers a draft, or asks a question.
- Email alerts. If you miss a notification, you'll get an email summary.
What about phone or video calls
We don't do phone or video calls as a standard practice. Asynchronous messaging with recorded Loom videos works better for design work: the designer can reference it whenever they're heads-down, and there's a clear record.
Exception: the Assigned Designer Plan and Design Team Plan both include real-time Slack or Google Chat access with your designer, available 9AM to 6PM in your designer's timezone (US Eastern, European, or Indochina). If you need a synchronous channel, those are the plans to pick.
Use Loom for anything complex
Loom is free, takes about 30 seconds to install, and lets you screen record yourself walking through feedback. It's the fastest way to explain:
- Detailed revisions with cursor pointing
- Strategic context behind a new brief
- Visual references from competitors or sites you like
Our data shows Loom cuts revision cycles roughly in half compared to written feedback alone.
Response expectations
Designers respond on business days, Monday to Friday. You should see a response within the same business day, usually overnight if you're in a Western timezone. If a request has been sitting without a response for more than 24 business hours, contact support.
